At Christine Headwear, we are proud to have very high standards when it comes to designing headwear, and it is natural for us to follow different certifications on the market. Read about our different certifications below.

CE label
All Christine products are CE labelled, which means that they are classified as medical devices according to EU Directive (93/42/EEC) concerning medical devices.

The CE label is a European regulation, and the provisions place heavy demands on design and production to ensure that the products are healthy and safe for the end-user. As a result, the Christine Headwear products are subject to continuous testing during all processes, and our sub-suppliers must meet strict manufacturing criteria.

The Christine Headwear products classified as medical devices are intended for use by women who have lost their hair due to illness as a preventive measure to protect the skin against sun burn, cold and related injuries or skin diseases and to relieve physical and mental discomfort resulting from hair loss.

Arpansa certification

Arpansa stands for Australian Radiation Protection And Nuclear Safety Agency. Arpansa UPF labels give consumers confidence that the product they are buying will give them effective sun protection. If a garment label carries this trademark, it means that laboratory testing has been done, and Arpansa is satisfied that the materials used to construct that product will provide the amount of sun protection stated on the rating label.

The Christine Headwear sun series is continuously tested and is certified according to Arpansa’s standard AS/NZS 4399:1996*.

Oeko-Tex certification

The Christine bamboo viscose range received the Oeko-Tex Standard 100 certification in 2015. The Oeko-Tex Standard 100 is assurance that the headwear product does not contain or give off any harmful substances.

An Oeko-Tex labeled product is subject to annual tests carried out by an Oeko-Tex certified institute in order to ensure that the product always lives up to the Oeko-Tex standards and regulations. The bamboo viscose headwear products are approved for product class II: For textiles used close to skin.

A lot of our identity lies in our hair, and when women suffer from serious disease and the treatment causes them to lose their hair, they fight not only to survive, but also to maintain a feeling of normality, femininity and dignity.

Christine Headwear is a range of Danish designed high quality headwear products made to provide women with a real choice in hair coverings, and the opportunity to feel beautiful during a difficult time.

It is important to us that women find inspiration in our products and that they feel comfortable, fashionable and confident when wearing them. Our modern headwear designs focus on versatility, trends and fitting. All Christine Headwear hair covering styles are tailored to provide volume and fullness to a head without hair and to create a secure and comfortable fit and a graceful silhouette.
