In the sun
A scalp with little or no hair is very vulnerable to the dangerous rays from the sun, and if you are undergoing medical treatment due to critical illness, your skin is very delicate, and you need to be extra careful in the sun. However, sunlight and the vitamin D, which we get from the sun, are also important to our health. The optimal headwear offers sun protection while still letting air and light through to the skin.
Christine Headwear has developed a special sun line with products that provide absolute sun protection with a high SPF of 50+. All head covers from our Sun Wear collection are made from 100% cotton, allowing your skin to breathe in the sun while being very comfortable to wear. All models have broad brims to shield the eyes and protect the sensitive facial skin. If you are going swimming in sunny weather, we recommend that you wear a swim cap as sun protection so that your sensitive scalp is completely covered and protected while in the water.
Our sun line is continuously tested and certified according to the high Australian standard, Arpansa: AS/NZS 4399:1996*. In general, we recommend you take extra precautions between 12.00 and 15.00 when the sun rays are strongest and use plenty of sun block when enjoying the sunshine.
